Pereira

Pereira is the capital of Risaralda Department in Colombia, in the Andean foothills within the coffee growing region known as the Coffee Axis. As of 2023 the city had approximately 481,768 residents, the fourteenth largest in Colombia, with a metropolitan area of about 735,796 including Dosquebradas and La Virginia. Sitting at 1,411 meters elevation within the Golden Triangle formed by Bogota, Medellin and Cali, Pereira is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia and serves as the leading commercial and logistics center of the Coffee Axis.
