Sincelejo

Sincelejo is the capital and largest city of Sucre Department in the Caribbean region of Colombia, serving as the hub of the Sabanas subregion about 30 kilometers from the Gulf of Morrosquillo. The 2023 census recorded approximately 310,456 residents, making it the 25th largest city in Colombia. Nicknamed La Perla de la Sabana, Sincelejo is known internationally for its annual bullfighting festival, the Fiestas del Dulce Nombre de Jesus held every January 20, and locally as the Zebu Capital of Colombia for its livestock industry.
