Peirasia was an ancient Greek city-state in the district of Thessaliotis in western Thessaly, Greece, located near the confluence of the Apidanus and Enipeus rivers. Its site has been securely identified with archaeological remains at Ermitsi, in the region of Karditsa, after excavators found roof tiles stamped with an inscription naming the town's inhabitants. Peirasia struck its own coins in the fourth century BC, and excavations at its settlement mound have uncovered finds ranging from the Neolithic through the Hellenistic period.
