Mascula was an ancient Roman colonia in the province of Numidia, established under the emperor Trajan in the Aures Mountains region of what is now Algeria. It is identified with modern Khenchela, in Khenchela Province, and its remains include the infrastructure of a fortified garrison town, among them baths and religious structures, reflecting its strategic position along Roman military routes.
