Dundo

Dundo, also known as Dundo-Chitato, is a city in Lunda Norte Province, Angola, on the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and serves as the provincial capital. It began in 1912 as a planned diamond mining settlement after diamonds were found on the Musalala River, and grew under the mining company Diamang from 1917. Its 2024 census population was 240,410, and the city has its own airport and an ethnographic museum.
