Menongue

Menongue, formerly called Serpa Pinto, is the capital of Cubango Province in Angola, with about 320,914 residents in the wider municipality according to the 2014 census and 251,178 in its urban area. It sits at an elevation of 1,354 meters and is a terminus of the Mocamedes Railway. Menongue was formerly the capital of the larger Cuando Cubango Province before that province split into Cuando and Cubango in 2024.
