Bobonong is a town in the Central District of Botswana, about 80 kilometers from the town of Selibe Phikwe, with a population of around 19,000. It is home to the Babirwa people, who are known for harvesting the mopane worm, and the surrounding area has deposits of pink semi-precious stone; locals also call the town Bobcity, or formerly Lekgarapeng, a name derived from its stony landscape.
