Gumare, also spelled Gomare, is a village in the North-West District of Botswana, near the Okavango Delta, with a population that rose from 6,067 at the 2001 census to 8,532 at the 2011 census. It is the administrative headquarters of the Okavango Delta Subdistrict, and in 1975 a United Nations development project helped villagers there and in Etsha turn traditional basket weaving into an exportable craft sold internationally.
