Shakawe

Shakawe is a village in the northwest corner of Botswana, near the borders with Namibia and Angola, at the beginning of the Okavango Delta. It functions as a border crossing point and as a gateway for visitors heading to the nearby Tsodilo Hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as for fishing trips into the Okavango Panhandle and travel toward the Caprivi Strip. The village also serves as a staging point for tourism into the northern Okavango Delta.
