Buea is the capital of the Southwest Region of Cameroon, located in Fako Division on the eastern slopes of Mount Cameroon, with a population of about 47,300 as of 2025. The city Government Residential Area includes the Mountain Hotel and the Parliamentarian Flats Hotel.
