Boende

Boende is the capital of Tshuapa Province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a river port on the Tshuapa River with an airport and, as of 2009, about 36,158 residents. It lies in a tropical rainforest region where Lingala is the national language spoken locally. The city was captured by mercenaries during the Simba rebellion in January 1964, an event documented in the film Africa Addio.
