Kamina is the capital of Haut-Lomami Province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, at an elevation of about 1,100 meters, with a 2012 population of 156,761. It is an important railway node, with three Congolese rail lines connecting it to Lubumbashi, Tenke, Kindu and Kabalo, and it has both civil and military airport facilities.
