Lafia is a city in Nigeria's North Central region that serves as the capital and largest city of Nasarawa State, and headquarters of the Lafia Emirate Council. The 2021 census recorded a population of 509,300, and the city is home to the Federal University of Lafia and the Nasarawa United football club.
