Osogbo

Osogbo is the capital of Osun State in southwestern Nigeria, roughly 88 kilometres northeast of Ibadan, and became the state capital in 1991. A 2022 estimate placed its population at 201,900, and the city is known for the Osun-Osogbo festival held along the River Osun, centered on a sacred grove that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as for its traditional tie-and-dye textile industry.
