Rwamagana

Rwamagana is a city in Rwanda's Eastern Province, serving as the capital of both Rwamagana District and the province, roughly 50 kilometers east of the capital Kigali along the highway toward Tanzania. With an estimated population of 98,522 in 2025, the city functions as a commercial hub for its surrounding coffee-growing district, with market centers, a bank branch, a post office, and bus and taxi terminals.
