Ariana is a coastal city in northeastern Tunisia and capital of Ariana Governorate, forming part of the Grand Tunis agglomeration about 2.6 kilometers north of central Tunis, with a population of 123,079 recorded in the 2014 census, ranking as Tunisia's eighth-largest city.
