A large, extremely shallow salt lake on the Bolivian altiplano, historically the country's second-largest lake before it dried up almost entirely in the 2010s due to drought, upstream diversion and climate change. Its near-total disappearance is widely cited as a stark case of a major lake lost within a single generation.
