Yosemite Falls

Yosemite Falls is the tallest waterfall in Yosemite National Park in California's Sierra Nevada, formed by Yosemite Creek as it drops into Yosemite Valley in a series of six drops totaling 739 meters. Its longest single drop, the Upper Fall, plunges 436 meters, the Lower Fall adds another 98 meters, and cascades between the two contribute a further 206 meters, together making it one of the tallest waterfalls in North America. Its flow depends heavily on Sierra Nevada snowmelt, peaking in late spring and often slowing to a trickle or stopping entirely by late summer in drier years.
