Abaza is a town in the Republic of Khakassia in southern Siberia, Russia, on the Abakan River about 144 kilometers south of the regional capital Abakan. Its population has declined slightly in recent decades, standing at 17,115 at the 2010 census compared with 18,052 in 2002 and 17,630 in 1989.
