Aenea was an ancient Greek city in the northwesternmost part of Chalcidice, said to have been founded by Aeneas. According to Livy it stood opposite Pydna, about fifteen miles from Thessalonica, likely on the promontory of Megalo Embolo at the northwest corner of the Chalcidice peninsula, roughly ten geographical miles from Thessalonica, which may be the promontory Aeneium named by Pseudo-Scymnus; Aeneia therefore lay further north than Pydna.
