Arad is a city in the Southern District of Israel, located on the border of the Negev and Judaean deserts, 25 kilometers west of the Dead Sea and 45 kilometers east of Beersheba. The city had a population of 29,504 in 2024, including Ashkenazi and Sephardi Jews, Bedouins, Black Hebrews, and new immigrants.
