Arue is a commune in the suburbs of Papeete on the island of Tahiti in French Polynesia, part of the Windward Islands, with a population of 10,322 at the 2022 census. Its territory includes the atoll of Tetiaroa, 58 kilometers north of Tahiti and once owned by actor Marlon Brando's family, and it houses the James Norman Hall Museum, the former home of the author of The Bounty Trilogy.
