Aschersleben is a town in the Salzlandkreis district of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, about twenty-two kilometers east of Quedlinburg, near where the Eine and Wipper rivers meet. It is regarded as the oldest town in Saxony-Anhalt, with documented origins reaching back to the year 753.
