Assergi is a frazione of the comune of L'Aquila in the Abruzzo region of Italy, about 11 kilometers from the city of L'Aquila. It has a population of just over 500 and sits at an altitude of about 1,000 meters below the western slope of the Gran Sasso, in a small plain called the Piana di Assergi, and it was formerly part of the neighboring comune of Camarda.
