Aszód is a town in Pest County, Hungary, with a population of 6,162 recorded in the 2015 census across 16.21 square kilometers. During the Second World War, Soviet troops of the 2nd Ukrainian Front captured Aszód on December 7, 1944, in the course of the Budapest Offensive.
