Attendorn is a town in the Olpe district of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, in the southern Sauerland region, with a population of 25,089. It is known nationally for the Atta Cave and for nearby Lake Bigge. Since March 19, 2012, Attendorn has carried the official title of Hanseatic town, recognizing its historic membership in the medieval Hanseatic League.
