Balanga is a component city and the capital of Bataan province in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines, and has served as the province capital since 1754. It became a city in 2000, had a 2024 census population of 109,931, and takes its name from balanga, a Kapampangan and Tagalog word for the clay pots the town once produced.
