Batang is the administrative capital of Batang Regency in Central Java, Indonesia, a coastal town immediately east of the larger city of Pekalongan. The town itself forms an administrative district covering 39.39 square kilometers, with a population of 118,539 at the 2010 census and a latest official estimate of 139,492.
