Beckum is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, situated about 20 kilometers northeast of Hamm and 35 kilometers southeast of Munster. It received its town charter in 1224 and grew during the 19th and 20th centuries into one of the largest cement production centers in the world. Its economy today rests on machine engineering, cement manufacturing, and services. As of December 2025 the town had a population of 37,110.
