Bodo is a town in Bodo Municipality in Nordland county, Norway, serving as the administrative centre of both the municipality and the county. It sits on the Bodo peninsula between the Vestfjorden and the Saltfjorden, just north of the Arctic Circle, and is the largest urban area and town in Nordland county and the second largest town in Northern Norway. The town covers 14.91 square kilometers with a population of 42,831 as of 2023. Bodo was named one of the European Capitals of Culture for 2024, alongside Bad Ischl and Tartu, and is home to FK Bodo/Glimt, one of Norway's most successful football clubs.
