Bristol is a city and ceremonial county in South West England, on the River Avon, bordered by Gloucestershire to the north and Somerset to the south, with a short coastline on the Bristol Channel. Historically one of England's great maritime and trading ports, Bristol is known today for its engineering and aerospace industries, its vibrant street art scene associated with the artist Banksy, and landmarks such as the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
