Cakovec is a city in northern Croatia, around 90 kilometers north of Zagreb and close to the borders with Slovenia and Hungary. It is both the county seat and the largest city of Medimurje County, Croatia's northernmost, smallest and most densely populated county, situated centrally in the lowland part of the region along the Trnava river.
