Cangzhou is a prefecture-level city forming the southeastern extension of Hebei Province, China, to the coast of the Bohai Sea between Tianjin and Shandong. At the 2020 census its built-up area, made up of Yunhe district, Xinhua district and Cang County, had a population of 1,421,843, while the wider prefecture-level unit held 7,300,783 people, falling to 7,227,700 by the end of 2024. The city lies about 90 kilometers from Tianjin and 180 kilometers from Beijing.
