Caryanda, also spelled Karyanda, was a city on the coast of ancient Caria in southwestern Anatolia, described by ancient geographers as lying between Myndus and Bargylia near a lake and an island of the same name. It was the birthplace of Scylax of Caryanda, a mariner and explorer of the late 6th and early 5th centuries BC who served the Persian king Darius I.
