The Borough of Chaguanas is the largest municipality and fastest growing town in Trinidad and Tobago, located in west central Trinidad south of Port of Spain. Named after the indigenous people who originally settled there, it grew rapidly from the 1980s onward as a center of bargain shopping and moderately priced housing.
