Chorzów

Chorzow is a city in the Silesia region of southern Poland, near Katowice, on the Rawa River, a tributary of the Vistula, in the Silesian Highlands. It is one of the central cities of the Metropolis GZM, a metropolitan area of about 2 million people, and part of the 2.7 million inhabitant Katowice urban area within the wider Katowice-Ostrava metropolitan area of about 5,294,000 people; its own population was 105,628 as of December 2021. Chorzow is known for the Silesian Stadium, one of Poland's largest and historically most important stadiums, and is home to Ruch Chorzow, one of the country's most accomplished football clubs.
