Cierium, also called Kierion, was a town and polis in the district of Thessaliotis in ancient Thessaly. Some ancient commentators, including Stephanus of Byzantium, held that it was the successor to the Homeric town of Arne, the chief town of the Aeolian Boeotians in Thessaly before their emigration to Boeotia.
