Cocylium, also called Kokylion, was a town of the ancient Troad or of Mysia. Xenophon records that its inhabitants, together with those of Ilium and Neandria, declared independence and allied with the Spartan commander Dercylidas when he campaigned in Aeolia to free Greek cities from Persian rule. Pliny the Elder later listed Cocylium among the cities of the Troad that had vanished by his own time.
