Coffs Harbour is a coastal city on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, about 529 kilometers north of Sydney and 390 kilometers south of Brisbane. The Gumbaynggirr people are its traditional custodians, having inhabited the area for thousands of years, and the city recorded a population of 78,759 at the 2021 census, ranking 25th among Australian cities. Its economy was historically centered on timber and agriculture, in an area once called the Bananacoast, though tourism has become increasingly significant as part of the broader Coffs Coast.
