Colima, located in west-central Mexico, is the capital of the state of Colima and the seat of the municipality of the same name, the state's second-largest municipality after Manzanillo. It lies near the Colima volcano, which divides the state from Jalisco, and forms part of the Colima metropolitan area along with Villa de Alvarez and other municipalities.
