Colonia is the capital of Yap State in the Federated States of Micronesia, an urban area between the municipalities of Rull and Weloy, with a population of 3,126 at the 2010 census. A Spanish Catholic mission was established there in 1885, and the town is known for the traditional Rai stones, large limestone discs used as currency and displayed along stone paths called malal.
