Cote Saint-Luc

Cote Saint-Luc is a city on the Island of Montreal in Quebec, Canada, a mostly residential suburb that forms an enclave within Montreal, with a population of 34,504 at the 2021 census across 7.04 square kilometers. It is primarily English-speaking with a large Jewish community, 69.1 percent of residents identifying as Jewish, one of the largest such shares of any city in the world, and it has been a bilingual municipality since 2005. First settled in the 18th century, it was incorporated as a village in 1903, became a town in 1951 and a city in 1958; after merging with Montreal in 2002, residents voted to demerge and the city was re-established as independent in 2006. It also operates the only volunteer EMS first responder system on the island of Montreal.
