Csepreg is a town in Vas County, Hungary, on the Repce river, of which it is the largest town. Tourism, particularly camping and fishing, is an important part of its economy, and the town council has approved plans for a metal finishing factory after initially rejecting an earlier proposal; the town is also known by the German name Schapring and the Croatian name Cepreg. It had 3,241 residents in 2015, a density of about 65 people per square kilometer.
