Dipolog is a component city and the capital of Zamboanga del Norte province, in the Zamboanga Peninsula region of the Philippines. Established in 1834, chartered as a municipality in 1913 and granted cityhood effective January 1, 1970 under Republic Act No. 5520, it had a 2024 census population of 136,528 across 241.13 square kilometers, the most populous settlement in the province. Known as the Gateway to Western Mindanao and the Bottled Sardines Capital of the Philippines, the city sits between rolling hills and the Sulu Sea.
