Doboj

Doboj is a city in the Republika Srpska entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the Bosna river in the northern part of the country, and was formally granted city status in July 2012. First documented on 28 June 1415 in a charter issued by Dubrovnik to Holy Roman Emperor Sigismund, it is one of the oldest cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and, after Banja Luka, the most important urban center in the country's north, recording 71,441 inhabitants at the 2013 census. Doboj is the largest national railway junction in the country and the operational base of the Railways Corporation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
