Dreros, also rendered Driros, is a post-Minoan archaeological site near Neapoli in the Lasithi regional unit of Crete, about 16 kilometers northwest of Agios Nikolaos. Known historically only from a passing remark by the 9th century Byzantine grammarian Theognostus, excavation has shown the site was first colonized by mainland Greeks in the early Archaic period, around the same time as the nearby sites of Lato and Prinias.
