Fukushima is the capital city of Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, located in the northern part of the Nakadori, or central, region of the prefecture. As of August 2023 the city had an estimated population of 275,850 in 122,130 households and a population density of 359 inhabitants per square kilometer, across a total area of 767.72 square kilometers.
