George Town, Cayman Islands

George Town, on Grand Cayman, is the capital and largest city of the Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory, and is named after King George III. It houses the territory's parliament, courts and government offices, and functions as an international financial center classified as a Beta world city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network as of 2020. About half the Cayman Islands' population lives in George Town, whose roughly 47,009 residents in 2025 came from more than 100 countries, with just under 38 percent holding Caymanian status.
