Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and city at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula, on the Bay of Gibraltar near where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. It covers an area of 6.8 square kilometers and is bordered to the north by Spain, with a landscape dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar and a densely populated town at its foot; the territory is home to around 34,000 people, primarily Gibraltarians.
