Gladstone is a coastal city in the Gladstone Region of Queensland, Australia, about 517 kilometers northwest of Brisbane and 108 kilometers southeast of Rockhampton, situated between the Calliope and Boyne Rivers. It is home to the Port of Gladstone, Queensland's largest multi-commodity shipping port, and had an urban population of 45,185 at the 2021 census, making it the largest town in the Gladstone Region, where the regional council is headquartered. The city was established in 1863.
